EV charging encourages EV drivers to choose your property over others, and a lot of customers specifically look for businesses that have made the switch. And unlike a fuel stop, a charging session is not over in a couple of minutes. A DC charge is a meaningful top-up inside an hour; an AC charger fills a car overnight. Either way the driver is on your premises, which is a coffee, a dinner, or a room.

The right charger depends on how long vehicles actually stay parked at your site, not on how fast the charger sounds on paper. Slow charging is typically 1 to 22 kW and fast charging above 30 kW: a hotel with overnight guests usually wants the first, a restaurant or a highway stop the second. Where a site has both patterns, a mixture of AC and DC is best, and the survey will say so.

A hotel where guests park overnight is usually best served by AC chargers on a Type 2 connector, at 3.3 kW, 7.4 kW or 22 kW, while a restaurant or cafe where a driver stops for an hour is better matched to DC fast charging at 30 kW or 60 kW. Sites with both patterns often take a mixture of AC and DC, which is what Zeway's free site survey is there to work out.
Not always. Zeway's AC 3.3 kW wallbox runs off an ordinary 16A, 230V socket and needs no load upgrade, and heavier AC and DC units are specified against the supply the property already has. The site survey measures your available load before any charger is recommended, so you are not asked to pay for capacity the site does not need.
A minimum of about 50 square feet is enough to start a charging point, and Zeway runs an eligibility check on the location before anything is installed. Canopies and protection for vehicles charging outdoors can be added at a minimal cost. How many bays you fit is decided in the survey, from the parking you have and the vehicles likely to use it.
No. Under Zeway's zero-investment model you provide the space and the power connection, and Zeway supplies, installs, operates and maintains the station while you share in the charging revenue. If you would rather own the asset, Zeway also supplies and installs chargers on a straightforward purchase basis with an annual maintenance contract.
